This is interesting... is it any different that de-saturating your image and applying a mask, removing the de-saturation, on your entourage.

I have no experience with applying Photoshop masks and appreciate your question but unfortunately can't give you an answer. I'll look into what masks can do for images and hopefully learn a new shortcut! Thanks for your interest in my blog. It takes a lot of time to produce but is worth every minute if I can excite others about these new visualization techniques.
