I’ve been looking back at more than fifty years of exploring visualization options and have been inspired to take a nostalgic look at where I’ve been in five decades and how technology has influenced my career. The visual timeline below shows my “hero” architect while growing up in the 1960’s, then my progression through the years!
Jim Leggitt Decade by Decade.......
1964 - The pipe-smoking, bow tie wearing, tweed suited hero architect. Notice the Corbu glasses!
1974 - Bearded me right after graduating from Rhode Island School of Design with an architectural degree, confident about the career ahead of me!
1994 - Hard working me as the young ambitious "drafting table" architect with tracing paper, drafting pencil and mustache - soon to discover computers, 3D AutoCAD and Adobe Creative Suite.
2004 - Embracing digital cameras, LCD screens, laptops, SketchUp, fast processing and the internet.
2014 - Evolving with tablet technology, the cloud, social media, hybrid visualization…and graying hair!
How do you fit into this timeline and what advances in media/technology have influenced your career?
